Yes, he does! Booger
Speaks! is a nationally syndicated radio program, reaching over 300 affiliates
across the United States. Booger's irreverant take on life's little foibles has
thrilled his many fans for almost five years.
Booger, 31, began his radio career as a disc jockey for WDICK in Louisville,
Kentucky. Fired there, he moved on to WJACK in Akron, Ohio, where he was also
fired. He went on to a firing at KLUST in Boulder, Colorado before getting fired at
KASSWIPE in neighboring Colorado Springs.
In 1994, Booger gave up his disc-jockeying career to read the news at WYUCK in Macon,
Georgia, where he was fired for accidentally calling then-Georgia governor Zell Miller a
"goddamn motherfucking crack whore" during a news break. But from this
embarrassing slip up came national fame, because big shot national syndicators just
happened to be listening to this broadcast while puttering through Georgia on their way to
a real state.
They signed Booger to a national contract in June of 1996, and that's when the magic
began. Yessirree. Since that fateful summer, Booger's controversial show has
amused, angered, and even educated a whole hell of a lot of listeners. His show can be heard daily from 10 a.m. PST until 1 p.m. EST Monday through
Friday.
(NOTE: Booger's real name is Norm Mankelstein.)
